Meet Derek, from Walker & Wood. He hails from a small North West town in Ireland and moved to Nashville TN in the summer of 2013. He learned to woodwork as a child following his grandad around his garage and made his first birdhouse at the age of 9. This sparked a love for making things with his hands. He then started working in a local woodshop in high school, making everything from stairs to windows but took a break from woodworking to go to college. In the summer of 2013, he moved to Nashville for more school and then in the fall of 2017, he began a new venture 'Walker & Wood'. Derek now operates out of his 2 car garage making everything from dining room tables, to built in units to barn doors. You name it and he will try is best to make it.
